The Ledges 1958
Then....
In 1958, the dirt road leading to the Lodge at The Ledges passed five little white cottages on the right. Many property owners started their "beach careers" by staying at The Ledges.
Now....
Tree and assorted landscaping have obviously altered the same view as has significant new home construction mostly on the left side of the street.
This aerial shot of Kelly Lane taken in April of 2002 highlights the five remaining cottage units along the top and the new home construction which has more recently surrounded the area. The Ledges lodge can just be seen at the bottom left of the "Y" intersection.
On May 11, 2004, the Lodge at the Ledges was finally torn down.
