Life Saver & Ship Ahoy

This postcard of three nearly identical cottages was taken when streets were not paved and dune paths
were set along those cottages lucky enough to be near the beach.

If you haven't guessed the location yet, you are looking at oceanfront cottages set at the foot of Vesper
Street.  The Scarborough Assessor's records note that these cottages were built about 1930.  The near
cottage was raised and totally rebuilt in 2004, and the second cottage has seen improvements but remains
pretty much the same on the outside.  Their view is slightly changed however as another cottage has been
built in front of these cottages at the foot of Vesper Street.
