Talk about appreciation! This is Capt. Al Angell's cottage in back of 27 Vesper. It's official address today is 25 Vesper Street. It was 23R Vesper when I purchased it at a foreclosure auction in the early 1990's for about $60,000. After a lot of remodeling and a new foundation, this cottage was sold in 2002 for $313,000 and again in 2004 for $390,000! A long way from the bank appraiser's estimate of value of $400 in 1939.
