The Conora
Then....
The best fried clams ever came from the Conora restaurant which sat on Ocean Avenue across from what is now the entrance to Kelly Lane and the old Higgins Beach general store. The Conora was built by Ed Higgins as a retirement business after he sold the Higgins Inn right after WWII. He named it for his daughter, Connie and wife Orabelle. Ed's son in law Lawrence Harmon ran the restaurant for many years.
