Whaling Dory On The Spurwink 1900's

This history photo comes from the photo collection of David Brooke's mother Doris and shows the falily's whaling dory on the banks of the Spurwink River, probably in the early 1900's. We still see occassional dories on the river which look much the same, but the Cape Elizabeth river shoreline has gone under remarkable transformations!
